This policy explains how FocusAI Limited (NZBN 9429053378026), trading as FocusAI (“FocusAI”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses, and protects personal information across our websites and products — including StopBy, Pulze, SightDesk and OneThing. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Where we offer services to people in the EU or UK, we also aim to meet relevant GDPR obligations.

01 Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact details when you email us or sign up for updates (such as your name and email address).
• Account details if you create an account in one of our products.
• Any information you choose to include in messages to us.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical and usage data (such as device type, browser, and pages visited) via cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy.
• Anonymous, aggregated product analytics that do not identify you. TelemetryDeck for StopBy — no user identifiers, no location data.

Information specific to products

StopBy uses your device location to deliver proximity-based reminders. Pulze is built on publicly available, open-licensed government data and does not rely on personal information about you to function.

03 Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our products, under appropriate safeguards. These currently include:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Kit (ConvertKit) — email updates and list management.
• Apple & RevenueCat — app distribution and subscription processing for StopBy.
• Analytics providers — anonymous usage statistics.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

04 International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside New Zealand, so your information may be stored or processed overseas. Where it is, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection consistent with the Privacy Act 2020 and, where relevant, GDPR transfer requirements.

05 How we protect your information

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information — including encryption in transit, access controls, and on-device data protection in our apps. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and respond promptly to any issues.

06 How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it.

07 Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you, and request a copy.
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
• Unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

08 Children

Our products are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “last updated” date above, and significant changes will be made clear on this page.
